The Painted River Project

In April 2021, Adrienne Richards and Kate Robinson – Studio 5 @kil-n-it – travelled to Moree to participate in The Painted River Project. They joined a group of artists from metropolitan and regional NSW and Queensland, along with water scientists from Western Sydney University and members of the Moree community, for a weekend of plein air creativity and scientific exploration of the Mehi and Gwyder Rivers.
In Jan/Feb 2022 their works were included in the Moree: Mehi After The Flood, The Art of Planetary Health exhibition at the Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM).
Art and science come together in The Painted River Project, supporting creative practice-based community participation that encourages a transition to a more sustainable future.
Kate and Adrienne are returning for the second edition of The Painted River Project, Moree, hosted by BAMM and Western Sydney University,   including a community event on Saturday 26 March. If you would like to visit Moree and take part, contact BAMM for more information.
